Hey there My name's Marcus and I've recently taken over the Chair of the Tarot Association of the British Isles (TABI).
I've just received this deck and it is truly as luminous as it appears on the site, and even more delicate.
My initial feelings are that the border is a little overbearing (but not so much so) and the cards would stand being bigger
- some of the images remind me of the Roger Dean posters, and would probably go wall poster-size (say, the Wheel). The Reader card is neat, made me smile, as did the detail of the paper band holding the cards
with the "Maroon Tarot" logo. Nice attention to detail, even on the packaging. The bag is maroon as well.
A designers deck as well as an artists deck! The Moon card is my favourite on opening - the moon is less foregrounded than in looks on the site images,
giving it a misty appearance, and making the light shining between the delicate (ivory?!) towers even more entrancing. A nice deck to experience the difference between website images and physical cards
- if you're going to order, spend time looking at the website images, make a few notes, choose your favourites, make criticisms, then do the same when you have the cards
- you may be very surprised at the difference! Marcus Katz

in the classic Tarot decks…
if you spend more time on a single Arcana card,
one can see the Maroon Tarot as a complement
to the Aleister Crowley’s deck.

The Tower, Hanged Man, Death cards usually scare me but, to me, in this deck they are the most impressive cards. They are perfect! I wonder how the artist could put into such a small picture so enonous ideas! These cards give a feeling of peace in mind, pacification and tranquility and respect, they remind us that life is mistery and we should be happy and proud that we are the part of such a great process. Chciałam pogratulować Państwu stworzenia kart. Mam je przed sobą. Są niesamowite... Nie potrafię wyrazić w słowach wrażenia, jakie na mnie zrobiły. Nie sądziłam, że w rzeczywistości będą jeszcze piękniejsze niż na ekranie monitora. Jakże się myliłam! Są kolorowe, gdzie niegdzie jakby rozmazane, a przez to jeszcze bardziej tajemnicze. Od pewnego czasu szukałam talii do tarota. Mimo dużego wyboru, żedna nie miała w sobie "tego czegoś". A Maroon Tarot ma! Strona awersu "czaruje" widza bogactwem barw, mam wrażenie, że z jaskini ciemości oglądam świat. Rewers natomiast rozgrzewa oko, zachęcając do spojrzenia głębiej, czyli na wierzchnią stronę karty. Tarot sam w sobie jest niezwykły, a Państwa karty doskonale oddają jego tajemniczość.
